*** Things to know about the festival ***

Seating is first come first serve on the lawn and traffic can back up on the two lane highway, so ARRIVE EARLY.

Plus there are lots of other great activities to enjoy! Some chairs will be provided. You may bring your own chairs, etc, food, drink (except alcohol), dogs on a leash with poop bags.

No charge for the music.

This is a NON-ALCOHOLIC and DRUG-FREE venue. Such substances will be confiscated. No beer garden.

There is limited cell phone service and NO ATM on-site. Please plan accordingly.

 

 

2010 POW WOW

Open to the general public. Bring your entire family and join the celebration. Photos are allowed and admission is free. Additional Pow Wow information click here.

 

Friday

Approx. 6pm: Pow Wow 101 with Mark Smith (festival not officially opened, but staff & vendors & locals welcome).

 

Saturday 1st session

1:00

Grand Entry for all dancers, veterans and guests. Social dances, intertribals and tiny tots.

3:00

Elders, Adults and Teens, exhibition dances

4:00

Specials and entertainment dancers.

5:00

Intertribals and then closing of 1st session.

 

Saturday 2nd session

7:00 pm

Grand Entry for all dancers, veterans and guests. Social dances, intertribals and tiny tots. Recognition of veterans in audience and Round Dance.

8:00 pm

Tiny tots, Warm ups for Adult, Elders and Teen jackpot dancers

8:30 pm

Jackpot dances for Elders and Teens

9:30 pm

Adult Jackpot dancers (men and women)

10:00 pm

Closing of colors and victory song, exit, goodnite.

 

Sunday 3rd session

1:00

Grand Entry for all dancers, veterans and guests. Social dances, intertribals and tiny tots.

2:30

Princess and jr princess crownings for outgoing and incoming royalty. Dance for contestants and honor songs for the Sr. and Jr. outgoing & incoming

3:30

Fun dances, social, speciality and Honor of Tribal organizers.

5:30

Closing of colors and pow wow.
